Madison River
The Madison River is a 60 mile riffle between Hebgen and Ennis Lake. It's an 1 1/4 hour ride from the shop but well worth it. Although it's a tailwater, it has many characteristics of a freestone with big cobblestones which make this a good river to fish from a boat. The hatches are very similar to the Big Hole River with abundant stones surfacing at the end of June through July.
