Anderson and Platt Fly Fishing was formed in 2002 to bring the talents and experience of Brad Platt and Jonathan Anderson together to offer world class fishing in the most beautiful settings in the western hemisphere.
Jonathan Anderson and Brad Platt met on the Kanektok river in SW Alaska. There, to their amazement, they realized their fathers were long time friends and they grew up a stone’s throwapart in the mountains of North Carolina. From that day their friendship began and from that friendship Anderson & Platt Flyfishing was created. Their goal has been from the beginning to provide world class fly fishing and to create long-term friendships with their clients in the most beautiful settings in the Western Hemisphere.
Jonathan Anderson (Big Jon)
Jonathan Anderson (Big Jon) grew up on the banks of Spring Creek in Hot Springs North Carolina, a stone’s throw from the French Broad River. He came to Montana in 1996 with his brothers and immediately fell in love; a few years later, he made Montana his permanent home. If you’ve been in his boat you refer to him as Big Jon and you probably refer to him as a friend. He has guided expedition trips in North Carolina, Tennesse, Alaska, Chile, and Montana.
Brad Platt started his guiding career near his home in Newland, NC with Appalachian Angler. Through this relationship he has guided in NC/TN, wilderness float trips in Alaska, and in the Bahamas.
